Home About

The White Hart Guest Accommodation and Tea Room in Leek is owned and managed by Eric & Julie Fox who have lovingly restored and upgraded this Grade II listed building whilst retaining many of the original features and charm.

Over the years, the exceptional quality and outstanding food has been suitably recognised. The White Hart Leek has consistently won awards, including being multi-award winners in the Taste of Staffordshire Tearoom of the Year category. Their careful renovations of the quirky tearoom saw Eric & Julie scooping an Enhancement of the Environment Gold Disk from the Leek & District Civic Society. The Leek Tearoom and Guest Accommodation also continues to attain the top 5 out of 5 in the Safer Food Awards.

The White Hart Leek Bed and Breakfast and Tea Room has been transformed into a welcoming place to eat, drink and stay. Standards are high, in terms of customer service, food quality and the overall facilities.

The White Hart has gained an enviable reputation for food quality in the local area. The ambience of the tea room exudes tradition and quality so it is not surprising that the menus change seasonally and local food feature heavily on the menu.

As Leek’s oldest tea room, the building is of significant importance in the town and was originally the home of the Leek Moorlands Permanent Benefit Building Society which then went on to become Britannia Building Society.
